چکیده
Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) are important to agriculture due positive effects on development and resistance attack by herbivores in agricultural crops. AMF can affect a single plant directly colonizing its roots two or more plants through the common network (CMN). This work aimed analyze influence of Phaseolus vulgaris incidence mite Tetranychus urticae bean colonized propagules linked CMN. The root systems were either separated an impassable barrier so that one both could be without forming RMC, they steel mesh allowed outer hyphae colonize non-mycorrhizal other form RMC. infestation occurred first at end experiment all. Percentage colonization, dry mass aerial part roots, number reproductive structures analyzed. colonization MRC positively influenced vegetative P. resulted lower leaflets plants. Therefore, direct AMFs via CMR improves T. infestation.

Further root colonization by arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi in already mycorrhizal plants is suppressed after a critical level of root colonization.
An established arbuscular mycorrhizal symbiosis suppresses further mycorrhization. It is not clear whether the observed suppressional effect is linked with the level of root colonization or not. In the present work we studied the effect of the degree of root colonization by the arbuscular mycorrhizal fungus Glomus mosseae on further root colonization by G. mosseae. At different time points barl...
متن کاملRoot colonization by symbiotic arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi increases sesquiterpenic acid concentrations in Valeriana officinalis L.
In some medicinal plants a specific plant-fungus association, known as arbuscular mycorrhizal (AM) symbiosis, increases the levels of secondary plant metabolites and/or plant growth. In this study, the effects of three different AM treatments on biomass and sesquiterpenic acid concentrations in two IN VITRO propagated genotypes of valerian ( VALERIANA OFFICINALIS L., Valerianaceae) were investi...
متن کاملMitigation of chilling and freezing stresses through colonization with arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi in spring barley
Cold stress is an important limiting factor for cereal production. Barley is a host species for arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) with a high genetic diversity in response to cold stress. In order to explore the mechanisms for the ameliorative effect of AMF under cold stress, an experiment was undertaken using completely randomized block design with three factors including temperature treatme...
متن کاملArbuscular mycorrhizal fungi alter the response of growth and nutrient uptake of snap bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) to O3.
The effects of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) Glomus mosseae on the responses to elevated O3 in growth and nutrition of snap bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L. cv Guangzhouyuan) were investigated. Exposure was conducted in growth chambers by using three O3 concentrations (20 (CF), 80 (CFO1) and 120 nL/L (CFO2); 8 hr/day for 75 days). Results showed that elevated O3 slightly impacted overall mycorr...
متن کاملAre there benefits of simultaneous root colonization by different arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi?
Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungal (AMF) communities were established in pots using fungal isolates from a single field in Switzerland. It was tested whether multispecies mixtures provided more phosphorus and supported greater plant growth than single AMF species. Two host plants, medic (Medicago truncatula) and leek (Allium porrum), were inoculated with three AMF species (Glomus mosseae, G. claroid...
